What the Healthy!?: Turmeric Latte Recipe

Welcome to the new series What the Healthy!? where I’ll share new recipes and information about healthy stuff! What better way than to kick it off than with a super easy and quick recipe. Wellness lattes have been taking the world by storm. They surprisingly taste good, and they are good for you. Today I am making a turmeric latte, so here are the benefits and steps. 

Turmeric is great for the body. It has anti-inflammatory qualities that reduce redness and blemishes. It also protects against wrinkles and hydrates the skin. There are a ton of other advantages like how turmeric reduces bad cholesterol and boosts antioxidant levels. Therefore, this spice is amazing and works really well in lattes.


  • One cup of almond milk
  • One-half teaspoon of turmeric
  • One-eighth teaspoon of cinnamon
  • One pinch of pepper
  • One teaspoon of honey
  • One-fourth teaspoon of ground ginger

I start with the milk. I usually use the classic Almond Breeze almond milk, but really any milk works. From there I add the turmeric, cinnamon, pepper, honey, and ground ginger. Mix them all together in a saucepan and heat up the mixture over a simmer. When the drink begins to bubble and steam slightly, it’s good to go. That’s all!
